Last month I chaired a panel at Coptic Solidarity’s ninth annual conference, held in Washington, D.C. The panel was titled and dedicated to exploring “Government, Media and Societal Denial and Deception” concerning the persecution of Egypt’s Christian minority. Also on the panel were: Robert Herman, Senior Advisor for Policy, Freedom House; Mansour al-Hadj, Director Reform Project, Middle East Media Research Institute; and Andrew Miller, Deputy Director for Policy, Project on Middle East Democracy.
