I was recently interviewed by Sandy Rios on American Family Radio. We discussed the jihad on Christians, then and now, in the context of my new book Sword and Scimitar: Fourteen Centuries of War between Islam and the West. The 45-minute interview can be listened to by clicking here or below:

Ibrahim and Daniel Pipes MEF are in my book some of planet earth’s most scholarly, studied, and knowledgeable on all things Islam. Ibrahim by himself is a relentless fountain of ongoing output.
Despite all this, I despair over even their own lack of awareness of the beginnings of Catholicism and its ruling hierarchy the Vatican. So much in these scholars arsenals would be so much more effective even if only in their own minds, if they would bother to avail themselves of much scholarship on how devoid of the very rudimentary tenets of Christianity that Catholicism is and always has been.
Just extremely briefly, if they knew all this veneration and prayer to the “saints” and Virgin Mary was purposely and with heinous corruption of the fundamentals of Christianity used to make the latter palatable to the Roman Empire’s pagan god worshipers. Each of the now dead apostles were assigned the attributes of these pagan gods and goddesses so the old “pagan faithful” ( who were forced into the new “church”) could continue their worship accordingly. For over 16 centuries, all Catholics have followed along with the same demented and corrupted theology worshiping and praying to these pagan gods under the mislabeling of the Biblical New Testament apostles – dead men no less.
There is far far more that Catholicism has done to corrupt the very foundations of Christianity, the scriptures, and all that our Creator has done to salvage mankind, but I risk no one reading even this much if I carry on much further. My highest hope is that we can stop perpetuating this grave error within these otherwise incredibly admirable and valuable scholarly societies.
When the world counters the atrocities of Islamic behavior over the centuries – which Ibrahim has very capably put into better perspective, the reality is even greater. The Catholic charade is guilty of a very high percentage of these comparative atrocities, thereby giving the actual religion of Christianity an undeserved bad name.
Mark Fairley does an impressive job and concise summary of Catholicism and its precise origins in 3 of his 77 segment four DVD (also, on YouTube) “Fuel Project” “Know Your Enemy” series. In the back of Henry H. Halley’s early editions of his Bible Handbook are even more very abbreviated and concise summaries of the Catholic Vatican’s atrocious history including the documented slaughters of millions of actual Christians.

At this point it is completely clear that Islam is just as committed to war as Christianity is committed to peace. The question is how can Christianity best defend itself against Islamic aggression and simultaneously spread the good news of Jesus Christ? As I have suggested elsewhere, our approach thus far seems completely antithetical to the values of Christianity, and the more we become like those who want to destroy us, the more we lose what we are fighting for in the first place.
