According to sources present at the initial trials of Muhammad Morsi, the former Egyptian president is behaving “very tensely,” and refusing to answer any question concerning the charges against him, which include treason against Egypt, and inciting terrorism against Egyptian citizens.
A judicial source told Al Watan that “During one interrogation session, Morsi began screaming with extreme agitation, repeating one phrase — ‘I am the legitimate president!’ — three times, followed by saying, ‘I’m not going to respond to anything, I am your president!'”
To Morsi’s accomplices — which, according to mainstream Egyptian opinion include the Obama administration — his refusal to talk must be a relief, even as one wonders how long he can persist this way.
Morsi is repeating the same words Saddam Hussein when he was pulled out of the rat hole. Morsi is heading to the same prison as Mr. Mubarak!
