The aftermath of the rebel invasion and occupation of the city of Qamishli in the northeast of Syria along the Turkish border are only now becoming fully known and follow a similar pattern of Christian persecution.
Among other atrocities, the Islamic-led rebels reportedly killed 70 Christians, beheaded three priests (to be added to all the others beheaded at their hands), and forced the rest of the ancient Syriac community to flee what has been their home since the dawn of Christianity two thousand years ago.
They also destroyed all the Christian icons in the Syriac Church, again following a similar pattern, and robbed the church of its ancient heritage, a reportedly 1,925 year old icon of the face of Christ.

This is not unlike the looting then the burning and the total destruction of the Church of the monastery of the virgin in Delga, Minyya Egypt this past August by members of the terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood and the church was built in the 3rd or 4th century AD and is part of our human heritage
Members of the MB are also guilty of the looting and destruction of the Mallawi Museum located not very far from the above church which housed a great collection of art from late antique Egypt that is priceless
The criminal and terrorist Morsi on July 3 2013 when he was told in no uncertain terms that he has to go he stated that his followers will set Egypt on fire! And now we know that happened

I wouldn’t mind helping with the judgment myself. God can have sloppy seconds.

Christian Americans are too busy watching football and drinking beer to care. Most are too stupid to pay any attention anyway.

To understand from whence this hatred comes, one only need look at how Islam began. It began with Mohammed seeing who he claimed to be St Gabriel the Archangel in a cave. Now I ask…Would God, Who sent St Gabriel to the Virgin Mary at the Annunciation, change His mind and resend St Gabriel 600 years later to Mohammed to announce a new religion? In addition, Mohammed was highly agitated and nervous and broke out in a sweat while receiving his visions.
In 1917 in Portugal 3 little children saw St Gabriel the Archangel, and then apparitions of the Virgin Mary and they did not tremble from fear. Yet Mohammed, a grown and married man at the time, was agitated and trembled from fear. Therefore, who was it that Mohammed saw? It certainly was not St Gabriel the Archangel. Possibly it could have been Satan disguised as St Gabriel. Therefore, does Islam come from God…or Satan?

Susan, apologies for having to reach “back” to you via a very old discussion.
I had replied to your post this morning on The Stream regarding XX and XY being the only human sex karyotypes with information regarding several variations that exist (i.e., that biological sex is not binary) such as Swyer Syndrome, Turner Syndrome, Klinefelter, Mosaicism, Chimerism, etc., many of which occur in statistically significant numbers (similar to Down Syndrome).
Anyway, the powers at The Stream decided they wanted to protect(?) you from this info so my reply to you was deleted. You certainly don’t come across as anyone who needs a “safe space” from information! 🙂
Thanks! Merry Christmas!
