A new group calling itself Molotov, which some Arabic media are calling “one of the violent wings of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood,” is using social media including Facebook and Twitter to teach Egyptians, presumably disgruntled Muslim Brotherhood/Morsi supporters, how to build and use Molotov cocktails (improvised incendiary weapons that are easily made; several of the Coptic churches attacked after Morsi’s ousting were burned by Molotov cocktails).
Due to all the mounting evidence against it, the Muslim Brotherhood is widely seen as a terrorist organization in Egypt — including by the tens of millions of Egyptians who rose up against it in the June 2013 Revolution. Still, the U.S. administration refuses to classify the Islamist group as such, and even continues working with it, both a home and abroad.
