This summer I spoke at the NY Divinity School, in an event arranged by the Middle East Forum. I discussed the much needed historical context of the Muslim world’s rage against the Western world. The nearly hour-long talk, followed by a Q&A moderated by Daniel Pipes, follows:

Interesting to see Raymond Ibrahim (a military historian more interested in historical facts) discussIng the likely course of future events with Daniel Pipes (social historian more interested in future possibilities). Obviously no one knows how the future will play out. Historical facts are what they are, and future possibilities remain to be seen. All human beings are created in the image of God, and of course we should all hope for the best for all human beings, regardless of their race, color, creed, or nationality.
