KTRH News’ Corey Olsen interviewed me on my recent article on Google Translate. A brief soundbite is available here, and below it is Olsen’s writeup of our more in depth discussion, titled “Lost in Translation: Google Finds a New Way to Censor.” (The New American also looked into this issue independently here.)

I am not surprised. I don’t use Google anymore. I use DuckDuckGo as search engine with Firefox as browser. And anything but Google for translation also try more than one translation if I want to make sure translation is correct. I haven’t deleted Google from my computer only because I don’t know what will happen if I do. Any better ideas are most welcome.

Thanks for this, Raymond. I have noticed for a long time now the truth of what you say. David Collier has a good article on the same topic. It’s disturbing when you reflect on who/what Google is protecting/supporting.

Welcome to the new world order that controls “free” speech.
People who claim high moral ground frequently fail to produce the evidence that shows they have the backbone to go with it. So they distort the truth, and placate the already self-indulgent time wasters.
